Ugandan music star Jose Chameleon has strongly denied claims that a DNA test revealed one of his children is not biologically his, describing the allegations as false and threatening legal action against entertainment journalist Josephat Sseguya.
The controversy arose after Sseguya, a Bukedde TV entertainment journalist, allegedly claimed in a Facebook post that Chameleon had conducted DNA tests which showed that one of his five children was not his biological child.
The claims were later amplified on social media by several entertainment platforms.
Responding to the allegations, Chameleon dismissed the claims as malicious and warned that he would seek legal redress.
“I AM VERY DEVASTATED BY THIS FALSE ALLEGATION MR SEGUYA!!!!!! You might pay a very big price whilst looking for attention!!!! YOU ARE SLOWLY OPENING A CAN OF WORMS.
THIS NOT TRUE!!.
You have taken your lies really far and I guess we are going to deal with this in court!!
STOP YOUR MALICIOUS ALLEGATIONS RIGHT NOW!!!!”
The singer’s statement indicates that he intends to pursue legal action over what he says are defamatory allegations that have caused him distress.
The claims regarding the alleged DNA test have not been independently verified, and no evidence has been made public to substantiate them.
As of publication, Josephat Sseguya had not publicly responded to Chameleon’s denial or his threat to institute court proceedings.
The dispute has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users calling for restraint and urging the public not to share unverified claims involving individuals’ private and family matters.
